What's going on?!?
hey, wha' happened?
news
3/14 - We're going to start practicing like mad, writing songs that aren't terrible, maybe recording something new, and
hopefully creating a real website to prepare for the April 23 show. As of now, the lineup looks a little something like this:
Halfway to Nowhere
Once Over
Diary
Tragedy Andy
ACTION
Dogs Chasing Airplanes
That's right, DCA, our good friends Seth, Shawn, and Andrew, are playing the show. How jawsome is that?
3/2 - Eventually we're getting a website. Until then, I'm the only one who ever checks out this website. Our show at the Oasis
was amazing, insane, and overall pretty good. We've got two shows coming up - this Friday at the Corte Madera Rec Center (and
you can't come, I don't think), and April 23 at the Oasis for Halfway to Nowhere's CD release show (with Silent Film Stars
and Tragedy Andy, possibly the best show you'll ever see us at). Check out the shows and pics pages for updates.
1/22 - Action is (too) excited to announce that our first show is coming up, February 13th at the Oasis. It's the REACH concert,
so proceeds go to a good cause, and we're playing with some pretty cool bands - Urine Love, All for Nothing, Steriogram (all
the way from New Zealand/Australia), Spitshine Syndicate, and the band with those other Redwood kids, Overview. More details,
such as when we're playing and exactly what we want you guys to do when you get there (i.e., don't sit down on the floor while
we're playing or arrive late and miss us) will be up later. For now, keep that date clear on your calendars and tell everyone
you know to come watch us. This show is gonna be jawsome!
1/19 - Download "Leaned in Close" from our music page! The link works!
1/19 - The Action website is up! If we start playing mad shows, we'll get a real site, but for now this is nice and cozy
(and free), so have fun and check out all the little link pages for exciting content. And buy our demo!
1/17 - We finished recording our first demo. It's got three songs, one surprise, and a lot of off-beat bass playing.
But considering it's actually music, it's an improvement on our former bands. The record drops Tuesday, January 20 (and "the
record drops" sounds really cool), so buy a copy. it's only $1.00, so you could buy ten or something and then resell them
in a couple years for $25 a piece. Think about it, then do it.
